Ethics & Principles: Gaia’s Moral Code

Because trust isn’t a feature. It’s the foundation.

Ethics & Principles:
Gaia’s Moral Code

Not Surveillance Tools

We’re Building Climate Infrastructure

Gaia isn’t just software. It’s a social contract. A public protocol for action, proof, and fairness — designed with ethics at its core. In a world flooded with climate claims, speculative tokens, and extractive platforms, Gaia stands apart: • No data exploitation

• No monetised attention

• No market speculation

• No hidden agendas

Just proof, participation, and purpose.

What Gaia Stands For

Gaia is built on ethics, not extraction. Verified actions. Non-tradable credits. Voluntary participation. Transparent systems.

In Gaia, your actions matter, and your dignity does too.

Ethical Verification

Only actions that can be verified by independent, trusted methods are rewarded. No greenwashing. No self-declaration. No shortcuts.

Non-Speculative Credits

GC and GRVC are not tokens, not tradable, and not financial instruments. They exist solely within the Gaia system as records of verified, regenerative action. They are designed to acknowledge and encourage, not monetize or exploit.

Voluntary Participation

Citizens opt in. Data is only collected with full consent. You can view, download, or delete your profile at any time. Participation is never required to access public benefits.

Transparency & Traceability

Every verified action, every credit issued, every outcome reported — all of it is traceable. Cities, citizens, and partners can see the logic and audit the results. Gaia is a black box to no one.

Human-Centered Design

Gaia is not a system of control. It’s a system of recognition, empowerment, and regeneration — built to support human agency, not replace it.

Our Ethical Commitments:

  • We count only what’s real.
  • We reward only what’s verified.
  • We never trade in human attention or behavior.
  • We design for planetary and social regeneration, together.
  • We will always align with the highest standards of privacy, integrity, and public value.

Alignment With International Standards

Gaia’s ethical framework is designed to meet and exceed:

  • Horizon Europe Ethics Guidelines
  • UN SDG principles
  • GDPR and EU digital sovereignty laws
  • Open science and civic tech best practices
